What motivates you best for writing a hub at hub pages?
The hub pages has a collection of people writing on different topics. Some seem focussed others are diversified. Frequently money is mentioned. What actually are the drivers for each of us for this hub writing?
My desire to help make people realize their full potential and provide life knowledge and wisdom I've gained over the course of my life.
I'm in it to improve my writing abilities, and hopefully in a year or so with some hard work I'll start to make some money which will make me work even harder.
The idea of some residual in the future also sounds nice.
I usually started writing only to improve my writing skills. But now i am feeling that i can also make some money by writing some good article. My confidence has also boost up because my user rating goes up from 24 to 70 in just a week. This gives me indication that i have the quality of good writer
Cagsil has a similar attitude to me as an overall motivator but for individual Hubs it is usually that quick flash of neuron firings that jolt an idea into being. They come at any time of night or day and one's body, especially the fingers, are motivated into action. Then it's up to the idea to control things. And the fingers better keep up or a tangential idea might take over. I reckon it's those Quarks, especially the Strange ones that do it. Some brains are conducive to Quark invasion or they just may have more iron in them to magnetically attract the Quarks. Anyway spark over. Gotta get on - other sparks to address.
I find that subjects or ideals, which are important to me give me the best inspiration. Honesty, to me, is an important key to great writing of any type. Honesty shines through, even in works of fiction.
I believe that readers can grasp a writers emotions, no matter the genre, as writing is a representation of an authors life views.
My desire to have my voice heard and to encourage others to use their voices. Especially through writing. Each one of us has an inner voice which begs to be heard. I am new to Hubpages and am starting out writing about what I care about in my life. I agree that writing must express one's emotions about a particular topic. It is that zeal to place those emotions into words which ultimately drives me to post. Also, writing for Hubpages is therapeutic for me.
The things that motivate me to write hub pages are the things that I am passionate about, such as my hobbies, my home and land, loved ones with problems to solve, and anything in the news that either makes me cranky or excites me in some way. Thank you for asking this question, it is a good one.
All great answers, but I find listening to the news motivates me. Lately, it seems that reporters don't follow the 'who, what, where, why and when', of journalism. They ask such dumb questions. They give soundbites and call it news. So when I go digging, I get motivated.
thats how you exchange views with people of different countries and with different life style and mental standards, besides that opens a new window in to a new horizon .
For me, what motivates me is the desire to share information that I've discovered on some topic. While my hubs are pretty diverse, they are all things that I've done or have had some experience with at different times in my life. My ideas usually just hit me out of the blue- a "eureka!" moment most of the time. While I write for a lot of clients on the Internet, I enjoy writing for HubPages the most because of the freedom- no heavy editorial constraints!

I'm new here and things seem QUITE shifty I should say. My total page views have been 98 for a day or two and today it is 91. Now unless the Earth began a reverse rotation on its axis near the speed of light I doubt we have gone back in time without noticing. So how in the h@!! did that happen?This...

It's hard to imagine that I've been a writer on Hub Pages for 8 wonderful years. I owe my growth as a writer to many of my Hub Page friends. Loving my Hub Page life!

I signed up with hub pages over a year ago and I didn't do much writing and completely forgot that I signed up. Then suddenly I received notification from hub pages telling me they've sent me $51.00!! I almost collapsed with shock! I never advertised my hubs, never did anything!! I looked through...

If you search Squidoo, you get a block that tells you Squidoo is Now Hub Pages. Talk about misleading.
