I'm new to Hub Pages. I have signed up with Amazon. How do I link one of their products to my hub?
You can go to affiliate-program.amazon.com & log in, and once you select the product you want to showcase in your hub you will be provided with options like link, banner ad etc. Just copy the code and paste it in HTML. This code has your Amazon associate account in the url so when someone clicks or buys using that link you will be credited by amazon.
You can add an Amazon product link by using the Amazon capsule. Put the specific item no. for the product you want to show on your hub into the field provided.
You can also do a keyword search in the Amazon capsule if you want more than just one product.
1. Add amazon capsule
2. click edit
3. click "choose keywords"
4. type a keyword related to the product you want
5. click preview amazon results

Why is it that excessive links to Amazon products seem to be permitted when they are added to the body of hub rather than as a Module on the side? In my naivety, I did not realise that this was permitted. Will these links survive when hubs are selected and moved to the niche sites?

Is it kosher to promote or talk about your own site on hub pages. I have my own site and I am doing the majority OK, all my short stories there. I have a link in my profile but I don’t want to do anything that goes against the hub pages rules. I started the site so I could write without...
