Is it true that all people write on hub pages only for money?
no it's not true. i signed up for hub pages to voice my opinion and my ideas. i am signed up to adsense and amazon but i did it because since i am on hub pages i might as well make use of the option of making money but i doubt i'll make much.
Not true at all. I write on HubPages because there is intelligent life here.
I never signed up for adsense or amazon or whatever else there is.
Not exactly. There's quality content, there's community and there's passion. Money is a byproduct, though Hubpages is a good place to make money.
NO, I’m enjoying myself, I believe this is good therapy, you can express your feeling's, I can get my point across, and at the same time I’m having a good time.
Not all I guess. But there are some people here who uses hubpages as their sideline job. Let's not be a hypocrite, if you know that you've got a talent and you're hubs were, most of the time, very helpful for everybody, well I guess you would want to use it and earn from it. ^_^
However, I'm not one of them, I joined hubpages because I just wanted to be read and be appreciated..^_^
I think many people write on hugpages in hopes of making money, but even more simply because they love to write and want to share what they write with others.
I like to both read and write hubs. I also like money. Together, it's a winning combination. Why not get paid for something you love doing?
i think both matter are true, we share our intellegent idea, scrip, thinking if we get some return in this place why not good?
Sir, thank you for this great question.
It is not important why we do something; what is important, is that as we walk along the chosen path, we learn something about ourselves.
Hubpages can invoke creativity, can make us smile, and can open our hearts through sharing with the energy of other hubbers.
I write on hubpages to get to know other people, I agree that this particular web2.0 property has a decent amount of serious users.
I wrote on HubPages to begin with by posting a Hub in answer to a friends hub he had asked me to read. Since that time I write and post simply to voice my thoughts. I do not write for money... things may change... who knows.
Dear my fellow hubber, I know you don't as most of the other passionate and enthusiastic hubbers including me...I can say honestly I have started writing without thinking about money and every day I find out that sharing my thoughts and images with others, similar minded people gives me more, much more than you can buy with money...
Nevertheless I signed up with amazon as I love books and research many books there myself but to this day I haven't earn a cent but doesn't bother at all:)
I know people that never signed up for adsense. . . .and guess what? Adsense ads are still on their hubs, but they don't get anything for them.
I don't think that all of the people here write just for money. I write on hear both because I enjoy writing and I'd like to make some extra money.
Nope! I'm writing for fun, for practice, to help people with what I know, and the money is a good perk, too!
It is a good benefit for sure. I think I've made 5 bucks over the past 10 months. I'll be trying to double that amout this year. Wish me luck.
Absolutely not...that was not my motivation for coming here and it is not my motivation for remaining here as a writer. Certainly everyone who writes must give creedence to whether they can make a living at it. For me, at this point, that is not a necessity nor would I only choose to write for money. I write because I have to...more than any other reason. WB
No. I write on hub pages because I enjoy writing and it's a way to get other people to see my writing. It also allows me to see how other people write to improve my skills.
I must admit as a disabled senior on limited income I started to write to make extra imcome for food or a bill. I have been here about 17 months and have not yet made any money. I do need to make money, however I have learned far more from the wonderful talented writers I am surrounded by. I would never give this up for money. I love to receive the gift of reading a great hub, and I feel proud and happy when others read my work and find something special that I am trying to share. It is a passion, it is my love, writing is final. I wish I could make money from something I love, in time maybe but it really will happen when it happens. I adore hubpages, it's my home. Love & Peace darski
No, I'm on this site to share my pictures and the research that I'm doing on Chemtrails. This will effect everyone's health and will change the composition of our planets oxygen levels. I'm very concerned about this whole thing. That's why I'm here.
I may later do the affiliate program, why not?
I'm reporting the findings on Chemtrails which have been attacking my neighborhood since 2 days before Christmas 2010.
No, I think a lot of people write because they have something to say. I enjoy the income, but I enjoy more the comments that people leave on my articles. Even if I didn't make a dime from this, I would still do it, sometime I use my article just to vent and relieve the pressure on my brain of things that I think need to be said. Interesting question.
I love writing and I love knowing that intelligent people may read my pieces and give me feedback. If it were for money, I'd be much thinner because I could not afford to buy food.
I am a new hubber and I will like to make some money while I really enjoy my hubtivity. Hubpages had me excited so much that I dream about almost everyday, it is helping me to discover myself even much more and the most important thing about hubpages is its people, their ideas, reflections.
If you wanted to see it for yourself, take a look at HUBBERS tag menu, and search for categories, there is plenty of excellent examples there.
yes i am new to hubpages. i write because of money. but i want to share
I write mostly for money, but I write lately to procrastinate. It makes me feel productive when I should be doing something else.
I wouldl have to say not true... while the extra money would be nice, I enjoy writing on hubpages because of the community feel and because of my passion for writing.
I just hope others are just as passionate about there writing that there continues to be great hubs published regularly.
Absolutely not! I signed up for asens and have the site to find what will earn the most coin, but I don't go there. I write what I feel like writing, from the goofy and absurdist to serious instructional piece. Whether I make a buck or not is just a side perk. The real fun is getting these damned stories out of my head for others to read and enjoy.
Now kindly click on one of the links in my hubs. XD
(Juuuuust kidding!)
A lot of people obviosly would want to earn something from their writing but also some members may just like writing as it alows them to let the world know about what they think on different subjects and that is why they make their hubpages just like some other people have a personal blog or a web site.
Some other people may create hubpages as an extention to what they have already, like another web site or a blog just so more people would get to know about it.
Or another reason could be that hubpages let people make friends and it's also a good reason to make your own pages here.
Yes most of them write hub for money and i am the one who write hubs to generate money i use these Google AdSence and some of the adsence Revenue sharing sites for earnings
You'll find mix type of answers here. However, I usually write for fun, expressing my views and comments. But if I can collect some money simultaneously, that's great but secondary part.
Absolutely not. I have written 9 hubs so far and have received nearly 5000 views but have not even made any effort to sign up for any type of money making. I use the site as a tool to write and have people enjoy what is written. I'm sure I am not alone in that. My guess is that there are a large number of hubbers who simply write for pleasure only.
To earn money by writing is one of the toughest job on this earth, like other creativities. Hubpages has provided a healthy atmosphere with good freedom of sharing and luckily all our friends and writers here are multi talented.
In fact people write on hub pages for sharing and shining with what they have to give to this world.
Second priority is money.
Not true for me.I answer these questions in my spare time and enjoy sharing my opinion with the world.I also enjoy the fact that I'm not the only person that has issues.
I'm not going to lie. Yes it is the reason I started out with Hubs and it's the only reason I continue to contribute here.
I could "Share my writing" on a million other websites where "intelligent life" congregates and not make a cent.
No, it won't pay my bills and I don't buy that anyone who writes here is living comfortably but even if it's only supplementary income it's worth it to me.
Thats not right, some people enjoy writing so they find hub pages an interesting arena to express their feelings
it was for me at the begining i was having different user name but i stopped writting at it i started this new one but i loved the hub community and sharing ideas with no limits
Well, honestly speaking, i registered here on hubpages to earn. But, i do believe that not all of the people here on hubpages writes only for money. I think some of them really have a passion on writing, or want to meet new people. But of course, some are here to earn, well after all, what's wrong with earning?
But, as time passes, I appreciate meeting new people here and having some friends.
Thanks!
I've been writing on HubPages for over a year now and have yet to see the first dime. If a few pennies were to come my way it would only be an additional pleasure to the joy I receive in service to the gospel. My reward is not measured in earthly treasure but in the fruit that develops from the seeds I plant.
I do not believe that is true at all. I will say that an add is what attracted me to HubPages as I do want to make some money in my free time when I an not working, attending church, painting, playing with my grandchildren, cleaning, cooking and on and on.
I believe we would be naive to say no I don't want to earn money when the potential is there like it is a shame to earn money. If we were not born with a silver spoon then 'hello' money is kind a nice to have around. Now that being said I found that I truely enjoy writing. I have done many things but my only experience in writing was college papers. Now I am writing out of pure enjoyment and I love the intellectual social part of Hub pages. Other social networks are so lame and corrupt. I do not find that at Hubpages. Frankly I have found a peace in writing that I never knew was possible. I like the question as it has provoked a lot of feelings in people. I am not sure how honest all these answers are but I can say mine is completely honest.

I'm new to Hub Pages. I have signed up with Amazon. How do I link one of their products to my hub?

I've had a few people sign up under my trackers when I send out emails of my hubs, but I was wondering what some of the rest of you have done as far as setting up a more unique way to have friends and family sign up here at hubpages? For some strange reason I don't think my profile link for sign...

Do you know who you signed up under, if anyone, when you first joined Hubpages?Since people can earn money by referrals, as a point of interest, is there a way to find out who we signed up under? If you know the person, have they assisted you in any way?
