Also, if you write very informative hubs, you will find that others link to you. It does take a lot of time, but now that the HubKarma offers a "suggest link" service, you have a better chance of having someone link to your hub from within hub pages.

I can't get it to work. I can link to my profile in the sig box, but the link to my I hub I put within the body article will not work. It changes the url I put in to http://hubpages.com/hub/&*%^%%$ or whatever...
