someone had asked me if they could copy over my hub to their blog and post my link and add me as the source at the bottom. I said yes as long as I was given the backlink and known as the writer.
Than I hear people talking about copied content and getting banned from Adsense.
Do I have anything to worry about in a case like this where my hub is cited as the source ?
If Google will penalize anyone for the copied content, then it will be the one who has copied your content. you won't get penalized at all.
Even the copy cat won't get penalized as they are placing link to your site. I do that on one blog and never got banned just because I plan a backlink.
its kind of funny, how much misinformation flies around in here, so casually
#1 Duplicate content penalty-relates to Search engine placement only, AND is not TRUE!!!!!
#2 Copied Content BAN - this relates to the unauthorized use of content and being a Google Adsense PUBLISHER ...How does google know its unauthorized, because the true owner of the content contacts Google with a DMCA complaint...why? would you be banned?, because advertisers dont want to be associated with a site that is actively involved in criminal activity
Does one single complaint do it? probably not.
Your backlink did nothing
Do you see how silly that sounds? yet, it gets repeated over and over again at new users...there should be a law against speaking about search engines and publisher networks until youve made your first thousand dollars
How are you writing hubs about Searh engine optimization "I am good at white hat seo" ...and spouting dribble like this
way to many fake it until they make it folks around here
I wonder why some people so want to ruin their fuc*ed up life by talking sh*t on forums
Did those pieces of shit on your face which you call eyes let you see the big if placed over there. You don't even know what you are talking about.
People come to this thread and read that useless reply and comment about the crap posted there.
No I should think not. as long as the Blogger makes an opinion and adds to your post. It should be seen as what we call a TrackBack. My company YoubrandInc has people do that sometime from our blogg
Why would you allow someone to copy your writing for just a link back when they are going to put it someplace they can then earn money off of it?
Aren't your time, effort and knowledge worth something?
Let them post a teaser only..like 100 words with a read more leading to your hub.
Why? let someone do this...well if the blog has considerable readership then you may gain a few fans who continue to follow your writing, the backlink may be worthwhile etc.
If its a new or poor quality blog...then it might not have been worth saying yes to.
why not give us a link to the blog, so we can give an informed opinion
Hey, at least they asked!
I will recommend all newbiews as well as experienced webmasters to read the crap posted by sunforged. Please learn from someone who has posted 30 full of crap hubs in 9 months. If someone hasn't laughed in years, read that shit and laugh with me.
I am amazed how people knowing nothing and reading a few forum posts think they know about a certain topic and then start blurting shit about it here and there.
I guess I must respond.
You have a hub titled "Get easy free backlinks"
http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/se … amp;bwmo=d
It has "0" backlinks outside of hubpages..ZERO
The title does come up first in google ...woo-hoo!
oh wait
get easy free backlinks 1 - 3 $0.05
Not enough data
Not enough data
Being an SEO specialist you know what thats copied from right?
Nobody searches for that term, nobody bids on that term
Rather odd behavior for an SEO specialist in my eyes
Goodnight
WOOHOO!!!!!
You see people... this hub is just 6 days old and has been on the 4th position in hottest hubs.
AND anyone who knows this online stuff would know how a 6 days old hub is supposed to get backlinks. /when this piece of shit couldn't find anything else to comment on, she picked up backlinks thing. Plus it takes time for backlinks to be recognized. This perticular hub of mine might have no backlinks because I didn't build any.
So you see people, a 6-day old hub which has above 90 hubscore and has been a featured hub is being pointed out due to lame reasons. WOW!
I selected it as it was in first placement in your "best" hubs category.
I didnt decry the wording of the hub as it is not poorly written, but find it rather surprising that a hub on such a topic would be so barren of its eponymous links.
I'll look back in 30 days, I predict you will have less backlinks as the hub will have fallen from hubtivity, lost 100 hub based inlinks and gained no "free easy backlinks" as its a rehash not worth sharing.
Who will find this hub "Ultimate Hubber" ? What search term will bring them? Your backlinks will be anchored to what worthwhile keyword? ...no need to reply, you have already written all that needs to be heard, ill check in 30 days and resurrect this thread for you, so you can revel in your glory
"if" you had intended to mean anything other than what you wrote, than perhaps you should have wrote it.
I did not misinterpret you, I did not point out typos and grammar flaws (maybe those confused me?)I responded to what you wrote.
Sometimes one must "sh*t" on ultimate hubbers who are using a moniker and writing within a topic, inherently claiming authority in subjects in which they are not qualified.
I did this to protect those who would read your misguided statements and take them as truth, I had no real desire to talk "sh*t" to you, I assure you the two pieces of "sh*t" on my face work well enough to see your deceits.
"People come to this thread and read that useless reply and comment about the crap posted there."
I have no idea what that means..kind of looks like you were so angry you started to mumble..is that what happened?
I have no intention to waste my time over this SH*T. What you posted was nothing but a piece of CR*P.
Now I understand writing on related topics took you nowhere so you certainly have lost your mind.
One who doesn't know about a topic which is obvious from the statements written is trying to create mess over here.
Who are you to check back in 30 days. Keep on checking it after 30 40 50 or as many days as you want and I won't give a sh"t about it. Who cares what you think... huh?
If I want to get backlinks I can and they will be for me, not for someone as lame as you!
Quit this Misha. You make me believe you are one of her's.
*Sigh*
Don't we have enough cr@p on the forums already without manufacturing disputes?
Not only is it boring and unfunny, it hijacks a thread posted by someone who wanted a genuine answer to a genuine question.
manufacturing?
The original question has been answered correctly in full, in the course of those answers it was necessary to point out some misinformation, the creator of the misinformation got quite angry.
I see pointing out false authority in the guise of a seo expert as being no different than disputing the make gas from water hubs and similar ilk
But, that was then this is now, I am too amused by the paranoid antics that ensued to continue saying anything that may bait the ultimate one, but a quick read would show that he is quite testy and quickly turns debate to name calling and character trashing.(and to think, Im beatified!) But even the course of the debate has reference to information that answers the question.
Perhaps you can read the thread more closely
You certainly are rite Marisa. I am so glad someone as wise as you saw this and pointed this out.
Despite posting some useless and wrong information as a reply to what I posted here, some very very personal attacks were made quoting things from my profile.
I would reckon this even worse than what you call "cr@p".
Since when quoting things from a public profile is a capital offense?
NOW I SEE WHO IS SOCK PUPPET OF WHOM!
You just came and already screaming. Having a bad day? Poor thing.
Good for you if you take shouting at you as screaming. You better find someone else to mess with, and from your multiple profiles.
Is this something common in this forum ? I´m new and I passed to say hello, But I think this is to much for me. I'm not this smart on the web. No 'forum person at all' Anyway. It's a laugh, thank you, you made my day !
Oh sure, you are welcome. Be careful though, forums can hurt too
i will check the religion forum. What do you think? Good idea?

We've heard several concerns about Hubs getting copied and losing traffic and we know how frustrating this is for the author. Google tries to identify the original content creator and show that in the search results. If you have a copied Hub that is getting outranked in the search...

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

Just now I saw a hub that was copied from that of mine. I had published it on 27th Feb. The same hub is being published with a little changes here and there. What should I do? Any help would be highly appreciated.

After me saying this afternoon that no one has stolen my work for online purposes, it happened. I noticed this evening that a copy of one of my hubs is in a forum called Spot25. Some guy by the name of Eric posted it in its entirety and put a line at the bottom saying the article came...
