What's the literary demographic on Hubpages?
I know there are spammers out there, but for the real writers...Is this site full of full-time, part-time, or aspiring writers or are there people on here just having fun or passing the time?
I am retired and spend a couple of hours on hubpages nearly every day. I've published 16 hubs since I joined, which is about 3 months ago.
I always have something to say, but I have no wish to submit sloppy inferior work to be read by discerning hubbers simply to see my name on the screen. I make a sincere effort to put forth poems, articles and essays I can feel will represent me well today, tomorrow and beyond.
I enjoy reading other's works and nearly always leave a comment. I appreciate the comments that readers leave for me as well.
The people I interact with in the hubpages community are a very large part of the pleasure of participating.

Do any hubbers spend 40 hours a week (or more) writing and researching hubs? Does the effort pay off if the site is treated like a regular job?
