Hey there, after l wrote my second hub l realized that l have doubled my visitors and more importantly l earned my first 10p:). l was really happy and statistically if you have more hubs that is going to add up?

Please write your experiences and how you performed after you received you first 10p:), any tips that l can explore?

I didnt recieve my first 10p, I recieved my first £1.50.... but plenty of 5p and 10p clicks followed!

Just keep writing. Its not always about the number of visitors but the value of those visitors, use the google keyword tool to determine that.

I have hubs that get 4 visits a day that make more money for me than a new hub of mine which is getting 80 or 90 a day.

But yeah, as a general rule.... just keep writing. You wont get clicks without traffic and the more hubs you get the more chance you have of getting decent traffic.

Congratulations! I can't remember when I got my first pennies or how many hubs I wrote at the time... Back then I never bothered to check my adsense or anything like that but I do remember my mystery 3.00 click and I never bothered to use the url channels so now I will never know where it came from sad  But like Ryankett said, just keep writing.  big_smile

I started to use the google.com/trends where you can see current trends to write about, and yeah the keywords are important too.

Took me a while to get my first 10p, still hard to get the money in, tis a mixture of study and luck.

It weird, adsense is.  Some days some of my hubs are making a killing the next day... nothing, the next day a few pennies, the next boom!  lol.

      Never know.

I agree with the comment about Google being an odd duck and sometimes hard to figure!  This past week I did a little experiment, running some free classified ads, in order to flush traffic to my writing. In less than one day I doubled the earnings I had made in the entire time I'd been using Adsense.  Of course I was so excited I did what any Hubber would do LOL!  After I wrote the hub:) I tried duplicating my efforts the following day, hoping I could duplicate the results as well.  NOT!  For the next 3 days, I averaged 2 bucks a day, but could never get the results of that first day.  Thanks to reading the great comments found in this forum, I know I'd better keep doing what I'm doing whether I see the increase consistently or not.  It's obviously working and IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME!!! You just have to really monitor and analyze what works, and keep doing it.

thanks sandra rinck, badcompany99 and rayankett,  and for sharing your time, l want to be your fan now:). For me it was the same, although when l sign up for hubpages l didn't write for nearly two months. l just started 2 weeks ago and it makes me feel good.

l learn from the best and that's the only way to go:). l feel addicted to it and it makes me learn. There is plenty to know about everything and here you can get it very quickly and plus make friends:)

You will make friends for sure, but for that I guess I would have given up. Tis the best about writing Hubs on here instead of doing your own website or blog, you have a good crowd to support you, good luck !

Song-Bird thanks for your kind words and l'm sure that you will be getting more revenue in the future, your Hubs are great and the whole thing with the pennies is a waiting process that needs attention on the way. We will make it!smile

BristolBoy, Plants and Oils and frogdropping, thanks for the assuring posts about the pennies, that means that more pennies will be coming in. I also imprisoned myself to do more research about things that l'm going to write and also paying attention at the google keywords tool that is showing off good tips!

asalvani - I just noticed what you wrote after you decided to become nailed to my wall. Thankyou very much - that was a lovely thing to say smile

And if you want to know what being nailed to my wall means, hunt out a hub I wrote about fans smile

Or I can just write a hub and dedicate it all to you. As long as you promise to share it with all the other new girls and boys smile

        Ouuu would u?
That will bring me a lots of people that will read my stuff, but then l can promise TO YOU, that l could write a sequel that will be talking about your hubs and how we both created this exchange of traffic!

That is such an electric idea!
If l was alive for ages I was not going to get there.smile

earnesthub, I agree! You need to be natural and free verse as that mirrors what you are. Simple confessions of your inner side that might be reflecting me or anyone else:)

Yes, I think establishing as a writer in your own style, or finding your writing "voice" was something I was told is useful, as if you can do that it will be unique. Good luck. smile

I don't know how much 10p is. But I truly love every US cent. I just think that it's wonderful that I can sit on my couch or backyard hammock and type away and make money. And 30 days later it's in my bank accont.

Yes if you keep writing hubs consistently you will see great gains. I strongly recommend the 30 hubs in 30 days approach. Go to the forum, there's alot of great advice there.

asalvaniposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Thanks Nelle Hoxie, British £10 pence is equal to 20cent in US:) I would be trying to achieve the same and maybe buy myself a hammock to sample that feeling:). I have a tiny garden though, and my trees are still young:)

Congratulations on your recent surge in earnings. Keep up the good work and you will see that you will be making even more money. I figure if I write one 1000 word hub a week, eventually it'll earn $10... (which is how much I would get paid if I wrote a hub for somebody.)

Then after it earns its initial $10, the rest of the money is pure freedom and it tastes amazing! Congrats on your first 10 cents!

Wow that is very encouraging. Yes, I was never been so happy for earning such a small amount of money. It is simply great, and l already do the probabilities 'if l will have more hubs'smile

Hey guys, Sorry, but sometimes I get screwed up posting in the forums.  I think I accidentally wrote over someone else's post (How the heck was I able to do that?) and although I was reading the comments here, this wasn't the post I was replying to (huh?)  Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS on your new found wealth.  I guess my other comment still related.  Keep up the good work!

Yea, still trying to figure the whole Adsense thing out myself, got plenty of impressions but no "clicks" yet. Not entirely sure how that whole system works yet. Kontera on the other hand reports i made about $1.50 on my first day here with only a single hub. Most people say its not worth keeping the kontera links around, but i figured id see how it goes.

Yeah it's different for everyone and there are no rules except to wait and see what works for you. From all the affiliate programs that I use I earned only from adsense so far. Keep on writing and you will see changes in your accounts:)
