When you are referring people to Hubs with your tracker, how long do the links stay active ?
for instance on a website like
besthubpages.com which simply has thousands of hubs and tracker codes, if at any time someone clicks on one of those links do they get their 10% of ad impressions for a set time, or is the link only active for say 30 days ?
Im not sure about that site. I don't even know how I got on it but most of my hubs are there. Who's site is it?
I'm pretty sure your tracker code stays active for as long as you have an account here.
That site you mentioned is not affiliated with HP, it's someones personal site.
yea i bet that person is doing alright, and if they stay active forever thats cool, I just thought I heard something about 30 days but maybe that was you can only get new sign ups that go as your referral after 30 days.
The only time a tracker is going to remain active "forever" is if someone actually comes through the link and signs up.
Your referral tracker that you attach to your links and place on other sites will remain in tact for as long as the link is on that site and as long as you are a member here at HP.
People that click through have 30 days to sign up and become a member before you are entitled to a share of their impression, if they write hubs.
All the hubs on that site have the owner of that sites referral tracker on them and he will get a commission for driving traffic to those hubs if his visitors click through them.
Your trackers do not expire, the cookie that contains your tracker expires in 30 days.

I know it's been asked before. I've even asked it before. But is there a better and easier way to bring in links to a link capsule from another hub. It'd make linking series so much easier. I spent about 2 hours yesterday linking an old series that I have together. It included about 20 or so hubs...

I have tried to condition myself to use the referral tracker links whenever promoting my hubs. Sometimes I forget. Does anyone see any value in using them? Just wondering.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For fellow hubbers who don't know where to get the referral tracker links, at the bottom of each hub, the...

Do you still put a tracker link in your hubs?In all of my hubs I have a link in a blue box with a referral tracker with a heading offering to sign up with Hubpages to write articles. Is this still a good idea for new hubs since all the changes?

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve site structure, we are removing HubPages referral links from published Hubs by deleting their tracker IDs. HubPages referral links were always intended for use outside of HubPages, and because they redirect, they may cause some page rank to be lost. ...

I am working on one of my new websites - and I want to link back to my hubs here. How many times is this OK to do on a website page before it is overkill?

In light of the latest Hubpages blog post, can I safely assume that any non-sales hubs would benefit from the removal of Amazon capsules altogether? These are capsules which likely earn me next to nothing for 10 months of the year. Also, how does Google determine what an affiliate link is? What...
