Hi Kathryn -- been doing some Hub research and just got started today. I see you've had (see '2')
great success and have written terrific hubs. My questions are: You mention the importance of promoting hubs -- can you tel me in what ways you do this? Also, I noticed you have at least one great photo in your hubs (eg. "Top 10 Banks for Home Mortgage Loans" has a Wells Fargo pic). Are these photos that you take, or are you getting them from some copyright-free site (and do these exist)? Thanks very much for any insight, and, again, great hubs! Mike
You can do a google image search under the advanced options for "commercial reuse" photos. As long as you attribute, you can use these photos on your hubs.
As for promoting, many hubbers backlink, but even if you don't, choosing good keywords will mean you rank naturally high in the search engines due to HP unique internal link system and high authority.

I've been a hubpages member for quite a while now. I have written 19 hubs and only have 1 follower. Where's the love? I think that I write fairly well and my topic are being read. What's the deal? If anyone has any ideas let me know.
