It seems like you guys are willing to help, and I'm in desperate need of help. Seems like a marriage made in heaven.
I could use some advice on improving the content. I also notice that I don't get many comments, and my overall hub rating is starting to go down.
Any ideas to improve the writing, make it more interesting and of a higher quality would be greatly appreciated.
I will have a look and I'm sure others will be along and do the same
First of all though - find a nice avatar picture. That's always a good way to start.
But don't look to mine as a measurement. I'm stupid
Thanks for the quick reply. I just took your advice, and I really appreciate it.
lol now go back to your profile and tell us who you are - as in a little about you or something aong those lines. It's nicer when someone visits your profile page to actually see something there
Again, don't look at mine, I'm an idiot and couldn't sell myself if I spat gold bars out every time I opened my mouth
First of all, get used to the fact that HubScores fluctuate. That's just how things work here. Second, you might like this Hub, http://hubpages.com/hub/Boosting-HubScores
Ok read one, scanned another.
You could tighten up the content, so that it reads with a little more flow. That said, the content is there, just a little polish.
Break up the capsules with pictures, use headers to separate different sections of the article. The link you inserted in the one I read? Put it into a seperate link capsule and insert it back into the hub, where it's in the most appropriate position.
Read through the following, then read the other articles that are linked within - How Hubpages Works
Check out other hubbers work, so that you get an idea of presentation etc.
I hope that helps - and welcome to hubpages
write what you are passionate about or have interest in check out my site !!!! www.hubpages.com/hub/colorado-camping
Frogdropping has already nicked everything I was going to say! And I think ALL new Hubbers should study the Hubs in that link before writing a single Hub.
Thanks for the wonderful tips, and that link. I've created a better (in my opinion) profile message, and am working on a new hub using the techniques suggested in the links I was referred to in this forum.
Thanks for the help, and I'm sure I'll be coming back often!
Ah - good hubber - I shall go and read it now.
Then return and tell you whether it stands up to frogspection
Edit - that should do nicely. Very good student you are
Looks like you've got things all cinched up here! Just wanted to say welcome to HubPages, kowings!!
Frog, You are like a breath of fresh air you have covered everything just wanted to say terrific job!!!
And to the newest hubber, welcome to Hubpages!!
kowings is my young apprentice. He's my very own pet.
Sorry. I mean my Frog Padawan ...
If being a pet will lead me to a 99 rating and 328 fans, then you can get a leash and send me to obedience school.
Frogs don't do leashes. However, I can stretch my benevolence to letting you be known as a froglet.
Ask away my young padawan. I will tell you all I know from those I learned from on HP. None of which is a secret and all of which involves hard work and effort on your part
Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome. I just edited one of my hubs based on some of the feedback I've gotten here. Would you mind taking a look and letting me know what you think?
Nice! I checked it out, commented. Looks really nice, and you've improved so much so quickly. Keep up the good work!

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

I've hunted hither and yon and I've yet to find the page describing how HubPro editing changes our rights to our articles.Typical magazine article editing involves the editor fixing typos, rewriting a few sentences for clarity, cutting content, working with layout, and instructing the author to...

I'm fairly new to hubpages, only a member for four days, but every time I log on I find so much interesting content that I never make it to actually writing anything down.Especially with the hub hopping feature it keeps me reading all day. So I was just wondering how do you do it? I am fairly new...

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

I'm currently trying to get my husband to help me write some hubs. I'm happy to type them up and edit them, I basically want his input on topics that I know nothing about - because the more topics you cover the more chance you have of getting a great niche. My husband is half won over on the idea I...
