I guess you mean using adwords to generate traffic to generate revenue. Would be nice if it were that easy - but it's unlikely you would ever earn anything like what you invested
Adwords is no good for hubpages because you can't advertise a page with adsense ads on.
I had tried using Adwords on my business site but found I was paying more money than I was making. This is not a reflection on how good or bad it is. Obviously it works for many advertisers since Google is making good income from it.
In my case I found it difficult to fine-tune the filters to make sure my ads were being placed only on pages where it related well to the subject matter. That is the magic behind its power in advertising. You need to get your ads placed properly and Adwords gives you full control over that. But it takes a lot of work.
Note that Adwords is meant to be used to sell your products on your own business web site. There is no reason to consider using it for HubPages. For that matter, you can't! Since you have AdSense ads on Hubs that is a conflict of interest and against the rules.

I have tried a few but they are either too difficult to understand how to get started, or just plain not as good as Hubpages.

Does anyone actually make money with Adsense?Like I asked, does anyone actually make money on this site? I have heard the minimum payout is $100 but I saw in the help section it's $50, but how do people do it? I've made only $1.80 in about 5 months and I have over 20 hub articles. How does one...

The background: In the thread ‘If You Were To Date A Hubber Who Would It Be?’ Jenny (Inspirepub) rashly volunteered to join my vessel as did Cindy (mistyhorizon2003). Even as I write this, these two fine hubbing women are relaxing in separate parts of the ship as we inch our way through...

I recently read some reviews on Consumer Affairs, which were absolutely devasting and have got me a little worried. I was wondering if anyone else wrote at similar sites prior to HubPages and why they made the switch, and if they had thought about going back.
