Does anyone know the demographics of hubbers?
It would be interesting to take a poll of hubbers to see how they break down on various topics such as religion, political affiliation, race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality...
I doubt that the info exists because I don't think Hubpages gathers it or cares, but if you want we can start right here:
Christian, Republican, Caucasian, male, straight, from the United States.
Not sure of HP Hubbers. If you are interested you can get an idea of the audience at Quantcast. Just search Hubpages Quantcast in your browser and it pops up as #1 for a Google Search. There you see audience demographics & interests.
According to Quantcast females constitute a higher percentage of HP audience(66%). Hence, possibly female hubbers might be more in number than male hubbers.
Here is a list of 62,400 HP authors if you are really interested
I've created a hub that includes a poll of demographics of hubbers. Please help spread the word. The hub also contains some suggestions to improve comments made on hubpages. Here is link to my hub -

Thanks for your help.
I participated last night. If you get a large turnout, it should be interesting.
thanks. I don't expect a large turnout. I do hope Hubpages will heed my suggestions. I'm also surprised that hubpages don't have this info already. Perhaps they are keeping it secret...
I would also bet they keep that information private

Maddie, I hope you are reading this, or whomever that can help.I have posted almost 150 Hubs...and if you are reading this, you know that takes time, energy, and effort. I had these hubs split among a few accounts. One day all my accounts were no longer posted, and I could not post...

As per the advice of many Hubbers I’ve tried to sign up on Shetoldme, but can’t seem to find their sign up button / page anywhere. A while ago I saw another Hubber comment on experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know what’s going on there? Thanks to all.

The background: In the thread ‘If You Were To Date A Hubber Who Would It Be?’ Jenny (Inspirepub) rashly volunteered to join my vessel as did Cindy (mistyhorizon2003). Even as I write this, these two fine hubbing women are relaxing in separate parts of the ship as we inch our way through...

Does anyone know if htere is a way to back up all my hubs in one go?If, as I think might be the case, I quit hubpages because to be frank all that stuff when you go to create a new hub is hugely overwhelming - take my poem, for instance, just went to publish a poem - just a simple poem and all that...
