I have a question for website owners who use free hosting.
My dad would like to create a website that reads book style. I tried to turn him on to the idea of creating an ebook with Easy PDF Maker but he doesn't think that is excatly what he's looking for.
He wants to be able to
Have work online at all times so that it can be accessible from anywhere for his editing.
Be private and something only people who he gives the link to can access. He does not want it accessible by anyone except who he has specified.
Not be in blog style. He has a blog on blogger but doesn't like that the most recent post is first. He wants to set something up so that it reads like a book.
Anybody know of anything that might fit this criteria?
If you can come to know about a site like this please inform.
Hey there is one called simple Site and it gives you a free trial. I think 30 days, or something, and it is about exactly what you have described. Its not a business type one. It is not totally free after the 30 days, but the amount was like nothing, really cheap.
I haven't tried this because I had no need to but you might want to check out the private rooms on deviantart.com http://help.deviantart.com/507/
You can make the rooms private and set them to invite only so this might be something to look into.
I use Yahoo groups for my writings. I upload my writing as Word docs. I've never had a problem with it and I've never been charged for it. I can access it from anywhere I have an internet connection.

On the right hand side, forward the question you've asked on this Thread, as a request for him to answer. (Request a Hub) or email him. He's published a few books and has ebooks, with a few websites.
I'm positive you'll get a very good answer from him, in addition to the one's on the thread.

I am considering creating a web site and would appreciate comments/suggestions. I am fairly new to this and the only web hosting/creation site that I know is godaddy.com but I am sure there must be more.
