When I create a backlink on a webpage/blog I own - do I use the URL code to my hub or is it OK to embed that URL code in an active link title that has the same name as my hub? Will they both create a backlink or is one better?
I believe it is best practice to use Text for the name of the link that the viewer will see (so they don't see junky code.) Then make the link using the URL. (that way you can use the name of your Hub as the Text without the http bits and pieces)

I just did and found a bunch of places that have my articles...they all give me credit but I never knew that they existed before. Are these considered backlinks?

Here's an idea (not sure if it's been mentioned before) but how about a competition run by some of the top hubbers - and the reward is a link from one of their own hubs? This way people will be inspired to do a great hub, as well as get a decent backlink...
