write more and good,add positive comments to other hubs be active on forums .for more information scroll down this page and click on learning center for more.
I find that checking in with my followers, commenting on their hubs, and also checking in on others hubs and commenting on them--they usually return the favor and read something of mine, and leave comments and "up" votes.
I think the key to having a high author score. . . .besides publishing good hubs; is to ask questions, answer questions, comment and give feed back to other hubs, use the forums; etc, etc, etc.
I can't prove it, but I'm pretty darn sure that the more features that you regularly use on this site. . . .the higher your author score is.
Of course the single best thing to do is publish better and better, and more and more hubs.
