Why is my author score continuing to fall?
I've been posting good hubs that have gotten a lot of views, participating in the forums, answering and making questions, and commenting on others hubs, yet it still continues to fall
What am I doing wrong?
I'm positive it's something to do with a 'lack' of Hubs, compared to your followers. Not sure though, but in most cases of bad score, it's because of more following then Hubs.
Author score is based on the quality of what you write. Not the amount. If you type in the search box ' author score' >questions> it will be the first link.
It is not the quantity that is measured by the author score -- it is the value of performance like sincerity in following, constructive comments and continuous desire to learn and improve your craft.
Sometimes even if we are balanced and put out good pages the score drops because people are voting our pages down.
At my best high traffic times my score has dropped, even though I thought it should be going up.With writing about controversial subjects expect the scores will drop at some times of high traffic because everyone doesn't agree.
Hey Outside - I can't answer your question but i have noticed and wondered why you had/have such a low author score.I noticed you had a score of just 1 a week or so back and wondered what you did to merit it given your activity, followers and accolades for such a short period of time.I don't think i've ever noticed anyone else with those factors and such a low score.Definitely seems strange but i haven't gone through all your activity or hubs - must be something amiss.Hope you find out soon.GL
I'm still new here, learning the ropes. I can't figure any of it out.
I was at a total loss because my hubs had average scores, but then all of a sudden, they all went up but my author score went down. Now, how do you figure that? Doesn't make any sense to me.
But I don't really give too much thought to a score. I write because I love to write, and that's all that really matters to me.

My author score is now 88. I've been active on the forums, hopping hubs, and answering questions. I haven't had this low of score since when I first started. Does removing poorly performing hubs cause author scores to go down or what is the problem?

I am a new hubber and I am getting low hub scores from the beginning despite my sincere efforts to produce good quality hubs. Does low hub scores mean that no follow is applicable to my hubs.

If my author score gets higher, will the scores of my hubs get higher? Also, if my author score is higher at the time that I start my hub will that affect the scores of my hubs?

I am not sure about this and I know there are hundreds of forum posts where people complain that their hubberscores dropping and they don't know why.My hubberscore just dropped 4 points in 24 hours after steadily climbing for the last 2 weeks and the key is to determine what I have been doing...

Can someone please give me a clue as to why my Author score continues to plummet? I've been writing on HubPages since May, '09 and I've not seen my score in this range since about six months after I began. I know they say the score is not that important as long as you stay above 75, but...
