Have any of my fellow Hubber's ever had all their stories deleted from their Word program before?
YES!! I had an entire book that was eaten by my computer! It was a Microsoft word 2000 program. I had part of it that I had printed off so I still have some of it (only because of my forethought).
Before doing ANYTHING get a computer person to find it! It still there just lost in space.
Best of Luck to you!
if you tell what has happened exactly may be I would know the answer. Things can be found on your computer that you thought of as left without notice.
No, but I did lose an entire manuscript when I lent my computer to my sister and she didn't realize that installing a new operating system would destroy everything already on it. I was slightly miffed. That was enough to get me to back everything up on disks like a good bug -- except now I do have a few articles that are only on my computer and online because I write them so fast that at any given time they're not all backed up.
Thank you for your advice, I found them just like you suggested. Somehow they ended up attached to my downloads. Strange, so rather than taking the chance of loosing them again, I just copied them all to the file I had them in initially. This way, they're all in two different places. Thanks again for your help and encouragement to solve the situation.
I agree with suncat, you may be able to recover your work. Also, you should have an administrator username and password established on your computer, only to be used for software downloads and the like. Don't stay logged on as administrator, though. Set up a separate daily use account that doesn't have administrator rights, and stay logged on to that one when you're writing. This precludes 99.99% of viruses and hackers from zapping your computer. It's a little hard to get used to at first, but it works. SK

I want to buy a book advertised on a fellow hubber's page. I don't know if I am 'allowed'.Are we allowed to click on ads that are not on our own pages? Or are Hub Pages ads strictly hands off?

Why do my link titles look strange once linked, now, and not prior to now?On one of my hubs (which was stolen and complaint filed), I have two other related links of mine on the same topic, and they look fine on that particular hub. However, when I go to link those that are linked on that...

A lot of people have screen names that dont suit them one bit. Maybe its an irony or a misnomer. Whatever the case, which hubber's screen name best suits his or her's personality? I got badcompany.
