Why do my link titles look strange once linked, now, and not prior to now?

On one of my hubs (which was stolen and complaint filed), I have two other related links of mine on the same topic, and they look fine on that particular hub.  However, when I go to link those that are linked on that hub, once linked, now their titles do not show up as they should and it looks as if someone has manipulated with the URL, for when linked, they are not even my titles and it extends outside of the link space.  Does that mean these two hubs have been stolen as well?  Thank you for answering!

It sounds like some of the problems I had been having.  Someone is taking advantage, it appears, of your "sharing" features on your computer.  Make sure that your media player has "remote" and "internet" sharing turned off.  Hackers on-line frequently use the "autorun" feature in Internet Explorer to hack into accounts and they do this by information you supply when you post videos and such.  Click "Start," then "All programs" and then right click on "Windows Media Player" and run as "administrator".  There is a button on the top left called "Stream".  Click on the choice that reads "Allow remote control of player" and choose "Don't Allow Remote Control of My Media" which is a choice that must be "clicked" on in order for it to block remote hacking.  Make sure you are the "administrator" of your computer.  Most computers have a hidden "Administrator" folder.  To access it, go to your "Start" key and type "cmd" in the search box.  Right click on "cmd" and "run as administrator".  You will be in the command line at this point that should read: c:\windows\system32>  At this prompt, type this command:  net user administrator /active:yes   (type it EXACTLY as it is here with all the spaces, etc.)  You should get a response that says "command was successful" or something like that.  After you get that reading type "exit" and log off.  When your computer restarts you should see an icon that says "Administrator" that is separate from the standard user folder already created.  Open it and give it a password.  Make sure you have your computer "streaming" turned off.  Ask me any questions.  Good day.

I did it, with the help of my husband, but still wondering about those two hubs' URLs that do not show up correctly as my title any longer.  Probably been stolen.

Little confused.  Not sure what you mean about it "not showing up as YOUR title."  Has it been given a different title?  Could you have given it a different title when you first wrote it and then changed it when you finalized the hub?

When I try to link it now, it does not show the title I have given it, when it has done so just fine in the past when linked?  Instead of showing just the title, it show the long URL that doesn't make any sense, when it has always been fine before.

I would tell Hubpages about via email.  Maybe you can open a new page and copy and paste it into another capsule?  Maybe they know too exactly what happened.  team@hubpages.com
