Do you like to buy-and-hold? To trade? To bet the barn? Or, something else?
I like to trade and take some off the table, like Cramer says. It does not seem to work to hold it for long any more. If you chose to hold, be sure to have something solid like IBM, CAT, etc. I take it that you are young. I can't wait for 20 year to grow my money. That is just my opinion.
First, let me extend a warm welcome to you for joining Hubpages! I will become your fan soon. But to return to the topic, I used to be a buy-and-hold investor only. Recently, after reading several books on trading, I added trading to my investment mix. I, too, believe in taking some money off the table. I now do both: buy-and-hold plus trade.
