    on http://hubpages.com/my/trackers
It says I have six sign up who just joined me since 2 days and earnings estimate is $0.28: I don't understand what "estimate" really means.

It is a bit confusing.  The important points are 1) your actual revenue from trackers will appear directly in your adsense, ebay, and amazon accounts, 2) the estimates are just estimates, and they may not be accurate for you.

Let's check If I have understood.
Currently my url tracker shows this:
    12    5    54    $0.55

It means I have 12 signups who COULD earn me roughly $0.55 per 1000 impressions ?

I've interpreted it as an estimate of what they SHOULD have earned you.

OK smile Can you confirm that it is for 1000 impressions ?

It's more likely estimating the cost per click and a click thru rate, not eCPM.

But anyway, I just ignore that whole column entirely.

What ? It's a bit frustrating to ignore : what does $0.80 mean in my last url trackers (for 17 referrals members now) smile
            988    17    8    93    $0.80

It doesnt mean anything, I think they should delete that part of the stats. Its only confuses people.

It also counts the times I visit my hub as impressions also.

Dont get me wrong I love hub pages, but putting an algorithm that estimates earnings?

Sunseven said hers was pretty close, Over 1 million impressions and her adsense account made 50.00 I think he he

What?! roll Oh, dear.... hehe, not very encouraging.  There must be hubbers who are doing well but are not saying anything,  or else HubPages wouldn't be so popular and wouldn't earn a profit for the owners.  There is hope! smile

The tracker is for referrals it has nothing to do with the number of visitors.
For example I have created 3 trackers to track where the referrals come from. Only one works which gave me the 21 referrals:
      3 trackers    1254    21    10    163    $1.17
