And talking of my reading ability - BC I keep bloody stalking your profile and hubtivity. I'm waiting for your 50th hub? I know it's Tuesday. Is it coming?? Is it done? Are we there yet? (said in a typical whiney 5 year old voice)
emi - lol
ryan - you're talking about our Cap'n are ye not? Avast ye and 'aaaaarrrrrrrr me 'earties'.
*wanders off to play with the coconut tree*
*stops dead in flipper-feet tracks. reverses*
Wow pearl, that's a jolly nice thing to say about me. And all my other me's (Pacal et al get over here) I feel a blessing coming on ... and so ...
I bless you with the ability to be more than a pearl diver. I wish you a pearl necklace, anytime you please. And some of those cool sausage on a stick thingies late at night after a cool beer
It was pirate lingo RK. You know. BC chitter. My nephews are brilliant at it. They want me to buy them a bone fide ship wreck island for Christmas. With a shipwreck, coconut trees, bottles of rum. The whole shebang. I'm working on it now. Though it's mostly going to consist of glue, sawdust and empty toilet rolls.
Ok CG, at least I know I can stop hovering for a month or two
Ah Yes.... What can be said of a deep thinking and articulate frog? Great spawner of forum posts generally from a humorous yet well balanced down to earth perspective. Has flung her nestmates into the big wide world to find out about life first hand.... Naked! Overall: A very Nice Frog who croaks it as it is humbly and genuinely. A Riveting first impression.
OMG it took me 5 mins to do this...so I'm Just fanning Frogdropping becoz I was too slow posting this
lol, thank you for your kind words. I often get called a gentleman, but I think that has more to do with people applying an English stereotype. I can be a moody bastard sometimes, just ask the elusive eaglewiki next time she reappears.... I have been less than gentlemanly to her a few times
Yep I am English. Well, I'm a bit of a mongrel actually, my nan is Irish, my other nan was Spanish, my grandad is Welsh, my other grandad was English. But both of my parents, and me, were born and raised in England.... so I guess that makes me a hell of a lot more English that anything else... My biggest regret is not attempting to ever speak Spanish with my nan, I could be an easy life in Sunny Spain right now
Actually I quite like that stereotype, it always served me well on holidays to America as a single young man
And Ryan - folks beyond the British Isles don't get that such as you and I are English (or British), the Scots are Scottish - Welsh and Irish folks too. And that we'd only ever describe ourselves as such. An Irishman would never say 'Im a brit' and vice versa.
And going back to the topic ...
My first impressions of the person above me: I liked his wit and delivery of said wit.
lol I don't have one! I had that kicking round on my pc in the uk and had emailed it to myself at work an aggggggge ago in order to print it off for something or other. That's how I grabbed it here - I dug through my emails and found it
My FIRST impression of cabin girl, was....a hot red head, with a broken heart. She was getting good at being alone, didnt take crap from anybody, and hates backstabbers, liars, and fakes... and I was a little nervous that she was mad at me.
Love Badco the way he is and wouldnt change a bit about him. Have to say his hubbing style is what sets him apart. He so totally rocks, There are a great group of hubbers whom i simple love and he is so on the top in my list.
wannna know something funny? Lady E does look friendly, but every time I see her pic, the "thing" she is in front of, reminds me of the pizaa ovens at McDonald's...I always think that her avitar is of her, at work...tho I have no idea if it is. hmmm
yes your are. my first impression of the frog....a super funny, friendly, snarky, frog who likes vodka..btw, the vodka reference is what made me fan you.. no one is that funny without having the life b.s. to back it up. She/he? isnt that whiny tho.
Well, Misha was one of the first people to welcome me to HubPages, so I had a "real" first impression - and that was good. Having read his work, I feel he is genuine and writes with an easy-going, yet intellectual style. Nice guy I think.
Davina, she is one cool chic, she'll put her two cents in whether u want it or not, and she stands for what she believes, and she is a very nice person. As for me being daring, nah. I'm chicken little!...lol, but I am cool as a cucumber...lol thanks Davina that was sweet of ya.
