No, i didn’t face it. I even followed very experience hubbers and they followed me but i always got appreciating comments. I must appreciate hubbers for their true spirits and professionalism. Similarly I never criticize anybody, however sometimes I only add to the available information or just appreciate it.
Thank you hub pages for providing us such a valueable platform to share our writing.
I have not encountered any bullies on HP as well. I am following people whose hubs are interesting to me.
Just like mariasial, i do not leave critizing comments on anybody's hub.
At the end of the day, HP is a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and for writers to expand their horizons. We are all matured adults in HP and should leave all bullying out as bullying is wrong culture, regardless if it is online or offline.
Yes, there are quite a few in forums. You should go to the forums to have a first hand experience. I learned a lot in forums reading comments from other hubbers and get to know who are nice and helpful and who are mean and rude. But hey, this is internet. My son told me that there are "trolls" everywhere in the internet. And HP is no exception.
hey rosie, i have to agree with you. I had a first hand experience in forums and it opened me to the reality that hubpages is also home to rude bullies and trolls.
And your son is correct! I have to agree with him.
Luckily, I have not encountered bullies in HP so far. I feel very fortunate in that regard. Then again, it seems from what people are saying that this can be more of a problem in certain forum topics, and I'm not on the forums much at all.
I wish bullies understood that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that we can all state our ideas without being mean or rude!!
No I have not but certainly have seen them at work on others. Especially those whose English skills may not reach as wide or deep as native speakers.
Having said that, this is an English hub web portal but disrespectful degradation of others is not necessary.
I don't think they even deserve to be called 'bullies' - I say that because all they've got is their cheap talk on the internet.
They wouldn't talk to people like that in real life (probably not)
You bet there are, in fact I had a hub on it for a long time, don't remember if it is still up or not but I am glad, I got rid of the idiots and could choose who I wanted.

PROBLEM: Whenever I write a hub on a controversial subject, a number of people create new, fake hub accounts solely for the purpose of posting negative comments and feedback on my hubs and/or threatening me anonymously. These new hubbers have 0 (zero) hubs and no other activity, and they are never...

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...

I'm sure this comment will bring out all the smartass hubbers. And I'm sure you will all visit me with more smartass comments. Well, I'll just count how many of you are out in hubberland then I will go on with my day.

How important is it to have a comment section on your hubs, or How important is it to respond?I was going through some of the hubs that belong to some of the top paid hubbers ( info found on the success story page) and a lot of those people do not respond to comments. In fact, many of their...

Though the HP community stands for love and cooperation, some hubbers hurt the feelings of fellow hubbers through their harsh comments. Recently I had such a bad experience. Have you ever felt a painful experience here? Can you please share?

Hi,I have been on Hubpages for ten years now and I thought I'd like to write about my experience, like I did five years ago (https://toughnickel.com/self-employment … ifferently). So much has changed in the past few years and I'd like to hear your thoughts about how this platform has evolved...
