I just wrote articles I had in my head, or topic I felt passionate about
You should ideally write about a topic with which you are familiar. For extra ideas you can sign up for Google Alerts and they can email you information about your selected topics.

I write how-to and recipe hubs. I know the recipe hubs will make money eventually but I have read that technical hubs get more views. What is your thoughts or experience on this topic?
