Why do unpublished hubs that "only you can see" sometimes show page views? How can that be?
Hi Imogen French. Every time you go to that Hub (or any Hub whether it is published or not) it counts toward your traffic. Next time you write a new Hub, before you publish it, notice that it already has traffic. Hope this answers your question!

J.S. is correct in his answer. What I do is look at traffic sources under the "total" tab in my stats for each hub and there I can see how many times traffic came from my subdomain: ktrapp.hubpages

I know that our own views are counted on the stats page but I have not opened this hub to edit it today and yet I can see that I have had four visits!
