What is the best way to start on hub pages/

I have started my new life as a writer here on Hub pages. What is the best way I can get going?
What are the best subjects. After reading many of the hubs is it best to follow everyone or be selective?

The best way to start on HubPages is by doing the following:

    1.  Allot time to read the Help Page or Tutorial Pages.  Knowing formatting and the buttons to click makes writing so much easier and give you a certain target of readers and followers.

    2.   When you read a hub, act on it either by voting or commenting or both.

    3.  Follow hubbers  you like.

    4.  Participate in everything on Hubpages -- Answer, Forums, Hubs

    5.  Write what you are knowledgeable about.  Read to expand your knowledge.

I hope this helps and welcome to HubPages!

I recommend being selective to a degree. Hubpages knows if you are not reading anything and this will lower your hubscore so I try to only follow people with similar interests or interests that I am interested in and no nothing about.

Subjects - It is uch easier and less stressful to write about things you already know about. Product reviews are easy and fast as well start here and Im sure you will be very successful then branch out. If you collect anything right about that, any hobbies? these make great hubs and people are always interested and not a lot of articles are write on some hobbies so you can find great potential and earnings in the things you already know.

Thirdly keep writing it normally takes 6-9 months of a hub aging to make it to the top of google page. That does not mean first page of google but being on the second page is awesome because I normally never find anything useful in the first 4-6 links they have just sat so long and got so many views they are now top dog. Write one better then them and you will be at the top of google very quickly.

Write what you know about or research topics you are interested in. Write about a lot of different topics. You are more likely to find out what pays and what doesn't that way. Set up a Google Analytics account, so you can know what does and doesn't make money for you. And write a lot. The more hubs you have, the more you can expect to make.
