This was easily found in the "help" section:

If your not a web developer this might be a slight challenge, pretty much make sure to add the (HTTP://) to the url, that will generate an external link which most browsers recognize after typing a URL into any module post. Make sure the entire url is placed after the HTTP part, (www.) may also need to be placed depending on if its a distinctive unique Domain name.
