How long do I have to wait after pulling down a hub before I can repost it in another site???

I'm planning to start my own website but I wanna post the articles here in the meantime, just in case the sight never goes live (work). So how long does it take for google to clear up its index (dunno if this is the technical term) of the hub/article after I pull it down?

    Hoping for some guidance.

It normally takes a week or two, but you can get it de-indexed in 24 hours if you first unpublish it, and then submit the URL to Google's URL removal tool. You will find it if you log in to Google's Webmaster Tools section.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but I thought you might want to consider this. I have my own website now. Instead of taking my articles down, I put a synopsis of them on my website with a link sending them to my hub. Then, on my hub, I put a link so they can get back to my website.

It works well for me with traffic being sent from different sources.

I've done the same, in the past and typically 1-5 days is all it takes.

thanks for asking this question.  I got some useful insight regarding this subject.

specially the answer by @mistyhorizon2003 & @frugalfamily were good.  It gave some really good tips that I have been looking for.

I do the same as frugalfamily. I write a little synopsis on my blog with a link over to hubpages. In addition you can add the widget to your site which gives links to your latest hubs. I found that I get quite a bit of traffic from my blog to my hubs.
