Can someone explain to me how the earning portion of this site works? thx
You earn money for people clicking on advertisements that are displayed alongside the work you write. This can be Google Adsense advertisements, Amazon affiliate products where you earn a commission for every product you sell on Amazon (this is now illegal in California), and the Hubpages ad program that displays advertisements related to your topics automatically, much like Adsense.
If you are interested in learning more about this and what people do to turn the few cents you might make here and there into a serious income then you should take a look at some of my articles. Sounds like an advertisement, but I'm serious.
