Am I misunderstanding or is the poetry contest asking for poems with over 500 wo
The entire hub needs to have 500 words. If you wrote an 8 word haiku, the rest of the hub needs to be at least 492 words! You can write about the type of poem, why you wrote what you did, etc. Good luck!
