Is it acceptable for a hub author to post a poem they have put in a book they have self published?
I have self published a book of my poetry on LuLu.com and I would like to post some of the poetry on HubPages. Would this be acceptable or would this be considered violating the copyright infringement clause?
Unfortunately, anything that is published elsewhere can not be re-published on HubPages, even if you own the rights to it. You could however write a review of something you wrote on another site and link to it in your Hub. Chances are if you do publish something that is published on another site, you will be flagged and unpublished by moderators for "Duplicate Content". Repeat offenders can be banned from the site for multiple violations. Here is a link that lists all the violations that you can be moderated for: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Hub- … Moderation
I hope this answers your question!
As long as it has not been published anywhere online then it is okay to reprint it here.

How can a self published author make their own web page?In the age of social media, having a webpage might seem slightly less important, but I've found myself needing a dedicated site. I'm curious how other self-published authors went about it. Did you use a template/hosting service that's easy for...

Which is more important for a self published author, physical or ebook copies? Both have advantages: ebooks aren't limited by stock or location and are generally cheaper. Physical books can sit on the shelves of local bookstores and can be handed to interested parties who aren't tech-savvy. But,...

In light of the Google algo change, it is now obvious and confirmed that hub-hopping is VERY important. I feel that if you publish here, you should hub hop when you can. As it should hopefully increase our revenue and hopefully take this hubpages back to the top, where it belongs. The problem is...
