Wireless Laptop -Trouble connecting.

    I have used my laptop on a wireless network at my house before, however I can't find the server now. Any tips on finding the server?

    the server or the router?

    You can try to repair your ip address by doing this

    1. Window system go to start then run
    2. type in cmd press enter
    3. black widow loads up
    4. type in cd..
    5. keep typeing in cd.. till you are pack at a C: promopt
    6. type in ipconfig /release
    7 this releases your IP address and it should now be set to 0.0.0.0
    8. type in ipconfig /renew
    9. may take a minute or two but you will get a reconnection and possibly a new ip address if you are not on a static line.

      yeah i've been able to connect to the server but I am getting "no connectivity" if that makes sense but I will try your suggestion, thanks.

    Hey Jackson, I don't know if this is any help or not but I have wireless internet connection and sometimes I lose the server with loss of connection. I often disconect then reconnect and it all comes back. Hope you resolve the problem.

    My laptop won't renew it's IP when I try and get more connectivity from my wireless network, please help.
