I have done some Googling to try to find sites that offer lots of free images for my hubs. I can't seem to find many at all. And the ones who do charge often have some good stuff but charge too much. I can find images out of my ears, but most of them appear to be copyrighted or offered for sale at an exhorbitant price.
So, does anyone have a list of good sources that you use to find free and royalty-free images?
Hi Jimmy, there are alot of hubbers who have written on this topic. . check out Free Pictures Free Clip Art Free Photos http://hubpages.com/_uv480kksiyng/hub/F … ree-Photos
This hub is a good starting point:

hey everyone i am an expert at this
Just google images. Then type in exactly what you are looking for and chances are 1'00000's will appear. for my hub yesterday i put lady with purple hair shopping, and i got loads even for that....
Flickr often is a good source of images you are free to reuse. Just look for the copyright notice to check if you are allowed to use the ones you're after.
I use istockphoto.com quite a lot as they only cost a few pennies each and I know I can use them all (as opposed to finding a good one on Flickr, then discovering I can't use it).
Google Images is not a free source of images however. It's a search engine of images and as most images are copyrighted, just copying and using images from there means you're almost certainly going to be in breach of copyright and breaking the law.
Use creative commons search:
Try my hub http://hubpages.com/hub/royalty-free-stock-photos
you will find over 50 sites listed which offer free images.
If you have Firefox, on the top right of your toolbar you can use the drop down box to go directly to Creative Commons and then search for the image you want. Always be respectful in using someone's image, by leaving a quick note for them or putting their name under the photo in your hub.

Whitney05 always seems to include great photos in her hubs, and I'm wondering if she has some tips on finding photos, especially dog photos that are free to use. Anyone else who has tips for such free photos, would be appreciated for their advice. Thanks much.
