Open the hub, then press the "Delete" button. Leave it for about 24 hours, and it will be gone forever.
There is no need to enter editing mode. However, if you do, you will first have to unpublish the hub before the "Delete" button becomes available.
You click on the hub you want to delete. Click 'edit' then 'unpublish now' and then 'delete' and that should do it.
Hit "Delete" in the hub, the option being between "stats" and "suggest links".
