I have a 07 5th wheel trl. how to fix dryrot in slideout??
the slide is draging & has soft spot at end where it was leaking. this slide has 5 rollers & the soft spot is at one roller, the bottom of the slid is digging in.i was thinking I could put a metal plate over the soft spot??
Dry rot can be tricky because leaks are not always visible everywhere they occur. I suggest you contact the service department of your local RV dealership. This does not sound like a job you should tackle yourself because slides can be very dangerous if not properly placed, etc. You'll have to find out where the leak is coming from and all the places it could have damaged, because this may be a bigger problem than you realize. Good luck!
