Do you feel Hubpages is the best blogging/freelance jounalism site?
Yes, it is. I've been to others, and none of them even come close. In Squidoo, for example, if you're new, and you ask a question, the answer is always something like "F##k you noob, i hope you die of cancer" or along those lines.
