How do I know that I have claimed google authorship?
I have a +[my name] link on my hubber profile and on my google+ profile a backling to my hubbing profile.
You have the proper link with rel=author in your HP profile and your Google account has the proper link back.
You can test it with Google's Rich Snippets Test Tool. I just did this for you with both your profile and one of your Hubs. Both pass...
