What Is A Quality Backlink?
What do you consider to be quality backlinks?
Any link that is on a website with high page rank (PR). The better the page rank, the better the link.
A quality backlink is a link on a website that's related to your content. Once upon a time, it didn't really matter what the site was about, so long as it ranked. Since the Penguin update, it looks like links from unrelated sites will not count for much - and if you overdo them, could even cause your site harm.
Look for sites that are on the same topic as yours, and think long-term, It can be easier to get a link on a site while it's low-ranking, and you'll reap the benefits later if it becomes successful.
Marisa's answer is right on! A quality backlink is a link to your site that is on other websites that:
1. Have good authority (a high domain authority or page rank); and
2. Relate to your site- if you're site is about carpet cleaning, getting a link from an SEO site is going to be less valuable (carry less "link juice") than a link from a site on home renovation.

I wish I could site my source, but I can't remember who it was here that made a very valuable suggestion: Write to a high rating site and see if they will provide a link to your hub.Well, that's what I've spent the last hour doing -- Finding, writing to, and now replying to emails I'm...

Hello everyoneI've been backlinking some hubs on another account like crazy for over a month. I estimate that a couple of my hubs have at least 30 quality backlinks in place, but my page rank and traffic seem to be largely unchanged. Is it simply a matter of time? Do I just need to let my hubs age...
