Do you get organic traffic to your hubs? What percentage of your pageviews are from Google?
the first few months I was with HP most of my page views came through the site, but now about three quarters of my total page views have come from other sources, mainly google
My experience is similar Imogene, thanks for answering. Why on earth would anyone vote this answer down?
About 90% of my current traffic is from outside HubPages. About half of that is straight from Google. The other half is from the various country Googles, Bing, Yahoo etc. I was on HubPages over a year before most of my traffic came from outside. Pretty clear. New Hubs get traffic from HubPages. Old Hubs get Google.
Yes I get organic traffic to my hubs and the percentage varies. This month 1/3 of my traffic was from Google.
Overall, since I joined HP, it looks like around 3/4's of my traffic is from Google.
My hubs are split between HP and Google. When I first started they were mainly HP.
It depends on hub. Some of mine which are SEO optimized, after longer time frame, the traffic from Google is ~50% of total. Good luck Sherry
When I first started it was solely HP, but now virtually all of my traffic comes from Google and other search engines.
It does change over time but currently my traffic looks like this.
68.61% Organic from searches on Google, Bing, Yahoo and Amazon
26.61% Referrals
4.75% Direct
0.01% Email
Those of you of a mathematical nature will notice that it doesn't add up to 100%?
Total 99.98%
In a day i get, around 85% traffic from Search Engines, 6 % is Referral Traffic and 9% is Direct Traffic.
Yes I get approx 30% traffic form hubpages. and also helps to increase leads.

Here's something for you guys to consider, and I am simply reiterating a comment I made on another post. You need organic traffic to your Hubs! Why? If you are using adsense, or any other monetization method on Hubpages, you will not, I repeat, you will NOT get credit for clicks on your ads from...

That's overall for all my hubs. That number has been rising and seems to me a sign of healthy hubbing at this point. The rest is about equally split between coming internally from HP and from my external links via social media and blogs. What do the veterans around here think about these numbers?

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I noticed one of my articles, though it used to get a lot of organic traffic, now gets more "direct" traffic. Made me curious if organic traffic is necessary to stay featured.

I am thinking about building some backlinks to my Hub[ages subdomain, but am not sure where and how should I start. What do you suggest? What's your backlining strategy? Is it really impossible to get so organic traffic without backlinks? If not, how difficult is it?
