Does Google discourage publicizing your hubs on Facebook?
Will it hit my page rankings if I publish my hubs on my wall and a few forums?
Social Media is a great tool for increasing links to your hubs and getting traffic from friends or followers. I believe posting a link to your hubs on Facebook will actually help your page-rank, not hurt it. it shows your content was worthwhile enough for someone to want to share it with friends.
Social media is a great way to gain followers and readers. I believe your concerns are with people who use Facebook and other social media to spam just their content. If you use social media responsibly it's a great promotional tool.

If we pump up our use of social media, i.e., marketing our articles more, will it help increase our traffic much? Or won't it make much difference because we are more dependent upon organic traffic? Something tells me we might have to wait out this drought. What say you?
