    Only if we can turn it off or opt out. I find chat really intrusive. I don't even leave Skype on unless I've arranged to talk to someone ahead of time.

    No , It is annoying on facebook at times unless I know them , would prefer just to do what we can now on here without chatting as well .

    Yes, I think there ought to be one. It would be nice to communicate with you live. It would also be a great help if the hubpages team could jopin in.

    If you are talking about actual audio chat then my answer is no because this is a writing community.

    If you are talking about a section where people can write comments about anything, like is done on Facebook and Twitter I would say no again.

    No matter how many times someone has asked for this over the last six years of HubPages, the idea has never gotten off the ground. 

    HubPages (admin) feels there's no need to re-invent the wheel when so many chat services exist out there.  They tell people they can go chat with other Hub users wherever they want.

    Then there's the people who have tried to get HubPages-oriented chats going somewhere.  Ever single one has failed/died off quickly due to a total and complete lack of participation.

    NO! If there was chat it would be even more distracting than all the other stuff on HubPages that I play with instead of writing hubs.
