The 'ads not by this site' on Hubpages is very annoying. Do you think so too?
This has become common on all the sites like squidoo and many others and it is very irritating and distracts one's attention. It is a new inclusion. Can HP do something about it?
I'm totally oblivious to the 'ads not by this site'. I, honestly have not noticed them. So, technically I should answer no, I do not think they are annoying. Now, I'm curious and will look for them.
Even as I read your answer, I am looking at a distracting "click here-ads not by this site" to the right of the page that is very annoying. Strange that you don't see any. Hope there are others who answer this question and share their views on this.
This is VERY interesting. I'm looking all over this page and don't see the "ads not by this site". I see one Google ad, but that's it. Everything else is related questions and hubs. Maybe it's different for each person. Interesting.
Very strange Marlene. Can't figure out why. It is not just one such ad but three of them, one in the header, one in the footer and one on the right top of the page. We'll have to wait and see what other hubbers are saying about this.
Yes. I hope other hubbers come to answer this question, too. My screen doesn't show the same as yours. It does make me wonder why our screens are different.
Hi Marlene, On a quick search on Google I found that it is some kind of adware problem and has nothing to do with HubPages or any other site that has these ads. Will go into a detailed search and post it here just to let you know about it. Thanks.

How do you get rid of annoying salespeople on your cell phone or at your door? What do you do when you get unwanted solicitation calls on your cell phone, or knocks at your door? Have you figured out a way to REALLY get your number off their system?

I am just 2-weeks old and posted 5 Hubs in HP.I write in many other websites too. But I find Hubpages to be one of the best from the point of view of design, looks, user friendliness, desirable features, provision of statistics - everything. I would like to place my appreciation to the Team...

This was a nice experiment, but I've ultimately concluded that this site blows. The two competing interests are making money and writing quality articles. Mind you, I've written a handful of stellar hubs, yet I haven't a penny to show for it. Sure, I have about 100 or so impressions on AdSense, but...

Do you know someone who is smarter than you are, and how do you feel about that person?EG:- You find yourself saying things like "She thinks she knows everything". In your head you hear the corollary "She DOES know everything and that is why she is so annoying."

Yep, I'm going to be writing 100 Hubs in 30 days starting next Monday, May 11th. This might sound a little crazy (because it is), but I promise that I have a somewhat logical reason for doing it.So here's the story -- Yesterday I was surfing around the web, looking at some blogs that have been...
