    Ok, I thought I had this worked out. How is the payment calculated. Is it page views? If it is

    why does the amount fluctuate so much, even though views are fairly consistent?

    The hubpages ad program is based on pageviews, but how much you earn is based on both pageviews (impressions) and the Cost per Impression ( or cost per thousand impressions - CPM)

    For example, if you get 1000 pageviews (impressions) two days in a row, but the first day your CPM is $4 and the second day it is $10, you will make $4 on the first day and $10 on the second. There are some other details that go into how much you actually earn such as referrals etc. but that is the basics to my best understanding.

    Internpete has a good bit. But I believe it also has something to do with ads, some are Adsense and others are for Hubpages program. Ads pay differently. I think the bottom line is that there is no formula or full information given to us, therefore, stop wasting time to figure out how much you will make on each hub, all hubs, on daily or even yearly basis. It is impossible I think.
