What should I do to keep my Hubber Score from fluctuating?
I am aiming for at least a 95 Hubber Score but I cannot seem to reach my goal. Every time I reach the score of 90, it slides back to 88 or 87. What should I do to keep it from slipping off?
You're not alone houseofjcjee! Hub scores do tend to go up slowly and come tumbling down quickly! It's like climbing a tough mountain - you've got to go steady and keep an even pace if you want to reach the top. Coming down is the easy part!
In my own experience my hub score goes up when I:
* write maybe two or three good quality comments once every two days on hubs I like.
* answer a question every other day.
* chip in with a forum thread every so often.
* try to write a hub each week, or twice a week if there's time. If you can write a longer hub- always with original content - and include good quality images so much the better.
This is not an exact science but you should see your hub score rise after a sustained effort (ten days to a fortnight?).
If your score doesn't rise then you'll have to check through your HubPages habits. Do you comment often enough? Are you active each or every other day?
Keep up the hard work!
I wish you all the luck in the world.
Admittedly, I do not write hubs consistently. But I do post comments and answer questions as much as I can.
Great answer. You're very helpful and considerate to take the time to write your answers.
Thank you houseofjcjee for asking that question and thank you chef-de-jour for the great answer. I have just started on HubPages yesterday. These kinds of pointers are exactly what I was looking for.
Hub scores certainly do fluctuate. You are right there! I try to maintain activity on the site, by at least commenting on a few hubs a day. Take time to vote for hubs that you like and share ones of interest.
I think the score reflects both your activity within the community as well as regularly publishing hubs.
The algorithm for the hubscore, from what I hear, is quite complicated and no one can quite figure out the formula!
Be patient and with consistency you will get there!

How do you stop your Hubber score from fluctuating? When I make a change it goes down. Does yours? Thanks to several superb authors here on HubPages, I have started reworking my hubs. These high ranking authors have been kind enough to show me how to improve my hubs and attract more...

Is HubPages trying to discourage its writers and get them to quit writing?Every time I publish a hub my Hubber score goes down then it goes up by 1-2 points and then down by 1-2 points. Then when I am not on here for a day or two it goes down by more than 2 points. This is very...

A month ago I announced some updates to HubScore: raw traffic is deemphasized, reader satisfaction is emphasized, and overall, the scores are a more accurate reflection of the quality of Hubs than they used to be. Today, I'd like to talk about the subsequent update to Hubber Score — the score...

For a good number of weeks my hubber score has hovered around the 100 mark. Two days ago it started falling, and as I write this, it is down to 89! If this keeps up, it will be 0 in a week! No rhyme or reason to it, but it leaves me wondering why this is happening. I know...

For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...
