Are you finding it difficult to concentrate on writing Hubs now that summer is here?

Honestly no....it helps to be poor and realize that I can't go anywhere anyway. smile  Besides the fact, I write for a living, so I really can't entertain playing around on nice days.  This is my job....I can't decide to take off on a sunny day.  The weather is somewhat of a distraction but that's all it is.

LOL Bill, I hear you. Although I love taking walks in the sunshine and do break to do that smile

Yes a bit for me.  With both my kids being home (no camp this year) I find so many things that need to be done now that they are home.

Sometimes in the middle of doing something with them I come up with a great idea but can't find the time to write it down and then I lose my inspiration.

Nice to know someone else is having problems keeping up with hubwriting.  I do want to, but finding time between work and family visits is keeping me busy.  Gotta get to it!

Yes BSloan I expected more answers like yours here. I see Teaches agrees too. It does take organizing to keep Hubbing amidst a busy schedule during summer.

Not really.  I actually get more writing done. My job has me waking up at 5:20 in the morning so on days off I get up really early naturally and am able to get a lot of writing done when everybody else is sleeping in.

Lol... I'm not an outdoorsy kinda person. I like being at home... though I do like to be lazy during summer months. Like I feel like I should be reading or catching up on my shows. It doesn't help that it gets busier at my job during those months... so I desperately want to be lazy!!

Aubrey, you sound busy! Take an hour or two to be lazy if you can, we all need those times

It's winter here in Peru, so I'm holed up in the house after dark. But I know what you mean about beautiful weather and distracting activities! They do say pages views are usually low in the summertime. Enjoy the heat while it lasts. :   )

Since I am new here at Hub i am hubbed up to keep writing and doing what it takes to make it all work.  Plus I have a site I write for that pays per article..I guess I like the money a lot..and I love to write.  I do most of my writing at 4AM...and in between during the day.  It is about discipline.

Oddly, yes. I've never been an outside person until now - we moved into the country in February. There's just so much stuff to do out there that I want to be outdoors all the time.

Hey Georgie, maybe try incorporating some of those activities into your hubs? Glad you are enjoying the country!

Yes, most of my work comes in the summer and along with it come longer working hours not to mention ATV riding, camping, fishing and family time. My Hubbing has definitely taken a hit.

I almost stopped writing hubs. My son needs attention and a company to go to a beach, my wife needs help and my hands as a free labor force in a garden, my mom  wants me to come and spend a day with her and my work in summer time tears me apart.  Hubs also need my attention but as it is not my source of income they have to wait. Alas.... smile

As your commitments are spread out I understand that. It is trying to find balance during these months... Thanks for letting me know I am not alone.

No. I'm finding it difficult because I'm getting distracted and need to center myself first.
