How long does it take before your hub gets published again if it's identified as Overly Promotional?
It depends on the backlog and the time of week. Generally 1-3 days, but over the weekend it can take longer.
Is that so? I submitted it for publication yesterday, so it will be up by Monday or Tuesday? Ugh! They're so strict!
If they weren't, it would be spam pool like some sites are.
If you don't like it, you can create your own site.
yes it normally takes a couple of days. mine was published for two weeks before it was flagged as overly promotional. they are very strict, but i think once you know what works and what doesn't you'll be fine!
Yes, it takes 72 hours to republish the hub. Sometimes if you are unlucky, you get another red messages. Very annoying.
I know what you mean. If they only READ the hub, they'd know its original content and any violation is simply a lapse of judgement. (Sigh.) Well, quality rules!
Sometimes it can take up to 6 days if they are not satisfied with your edit of the Hub. The first time can take up to 72 hours, If they flag it again? That can take up to 72 hours. Basically depending on how busy the administrators are. What's really frustrating is when you have changed the whole story line of the Hub. Then you feel like it is not your own work anymore. Very frustrating.
Are administrators REAL people or is it a computer program?
They are real people who personally read our content.
Its sounds like funny & frustrating at the same time!
This is very subjective. It depend if your hubs trigger any manual review. Or some one flag your hub as violation. If all of those not happened, then it is a random pick.
I would suggest focus on quality content, understand hubpages rules and regulations. Go through the "Learning" section at hubpages.
Good luck
I think I got identified because I linked twice to my blog. I think that's the reason. I removed the external links, even my Amazon capsule. I hope that works.

I used to like to bring the silly moderation messages to light, in order to hopefully get better explanations of the new rules that HP created throughout 2011.Eventually, the lack of definitions by HP just became irritating and I stopped and just left the account to fester. But, for 2012, I was...

This week we will begin assessing older Hubs that haven't yet gone through the Quality Assessment Process. Instead of only holding newly-published Hubs to the heightened quality bar introduced in March, ALL published Hubs will need to meet minimum quality requirements in order to remain or become...

I love HubPages, I feel that I have learned so much here and my confidence in writing non-fiction took such a huge leap when I was invited onto the Apprenticeship program last year. I have met some wonderful people here - both staff and other Hubbers. But as may other people have said, the idling...

I've got the "Overly Promotional" red skull of doom on my top trafficked hub.Naturally it was the first one I edited. The affiliate links and "overly promotional" warnings at the top of the hub went away in the workshop. I republished it last night, and it's still published...

Here is the Hub in limbo: http://hubpages.com/hub/Sitting-or-Stan … our-Guitar I need someone to review it.I got an 'overly promotional' warning and did as much re-linking as I could (of all my Hubs this one has the most links). 90% of the links are to other Hubs excluding my own. I'm sure...

Recently, I've had a few automated messages from HubPages saying that my hubs are overly promotional. I must admit, this has left me a little baffled.I try to write tightly themed hubs, providing good, relevant information to readers, linking to mine and other's related hubs.I'd be very grateful to...
