How long does it take before your hub gets published again if it's identified as Overly Promotional?

It depends on the backlog and the time of week. Generally 1-3 days, but over the weekend it can take longer.

Is that so? I submitted it for publication yesterday, so it will be up by Monday or Tuesday? Ugh! They're so strict!

If they weren't, it would be  spam pool like some sites are.
If you don't like it, you can create your own site. smile

yes it normally takes a couple of days. mine was published for two weeks before it was flagged as overly promotional. they are very strict, but i think once you know what works and what doesn't you'll be fine!

Yes, it takes 72 hours to republish the hub. Sometimes if you are unlucky, you get another red messages. Very annoying.

I know what you mean. If they only READ the hub, they'd know its original content and any violation is simply a lapse of judgement. (Sigh.) Well, quality rules!

Sometimes it can take up to 6 days if they are not satisfied with your edit of the Hub. The first time can take up to 72 hours, If they flag it again? That can take up to 72 hours. Basically depending on how busy the administrators are. What's really frustrating is when you have changed the whole story line of the Hub. Then you feel like it is not your own work anymore. Very frustrating.

Are administrators REAL people or is it a computer program?

This is very subjective. It depend if your hubs trigger any manual review. Or some one flag your hub as violation. If all of those not happened, then it is a random pick.

I would suggest focus on quality content, understand hubpages rules and regulations. Go through the "Learning" section at hubpages.

    Good luck smile

I think I got identified because I linked twice to my blog. I think that's the reason. I removed the external links, even my Amazon capsule. I hope that works.
