When a 30-day challenge is started, do you just state it in your title, or is it started by HP?

For future reference, when one desires to attempt to do a 30-day challenge, do you just start writing them and in the title of your hub, state, this is a 30-Day challenge?  Or is this something you wait for HP to announce a 30-day challenge?

A thirty day challenge isn't an official challenge; it's just a challenge to yourself that you state publicly.

If you want, you don't have to tell anyone, and you don't have to write it anywhere in the hub. You're just challenging yourself.

sometimes on Facebook hub pages there will be a challenge where everyone gets together and decides to have challenge.. that was fun we did it back in March.. it was fun ans it really taught me a lot..  then we would state what hub we were on each day.. its a great challenge..

Thanks so much Debbie.  I know when I joined HP in April, there was so much beautiful poetry on spring, and I was clueless about the challenge.  I thought wow they sure do love writing poetry about spring!  It was a great month to join HP.

Like the others have stated...it's up to you.  There's no "official" HubPages announcement.  But the accountability factor can be very motivating and help you stay on track!  Don't hidecit under a bushel haha!  Let everybody know you're going for it so that they can not only encourage you, but they can be encouraged by your progress as well.

Good luck on your challenge (not TOO far into the future, I hope).
