Why are they saying my hub is a duplicate, and what can I do about it?
I wrote on a popular subject, but the content is all mine, and only comes from my own experience and knowledge. I have never written about this subject anywhere else.
Most people get in trouble and don't realize it by using too much quoted material.
False positives sometimes happen when people write about heavily-represented topics and just regurgitate what everyone else is saying, while failing to write anything that is original in thought.
If you truly feel that a mistake has been made you need to contact the moderators about doing a manual review.
This also happened to me. The reason was because I had published the same article on another site without knowing that I wasn't supposed to do that. Have you also published your hub elsewhere? If so, delete the hub either from HP or the other site and notify HP. They are very responsive. They released my hub within hours of me deleting it from the other site.
