Question about idle status and google traffic?
I'm still getting a little google traffic on hubs that have idle status. I'm not complaining, just curious.
My understanding is that the idle status on slow hubs is supposed to be make them invisible to google, thereby improving either my overall google rank, or the google rank on my more active hubs. (I can't remember which.) What's up with that?
If they have only just been made idle then they probably have not been de-indexed yet. But having said that if there is traffic on them then how / why were they made idle? This is an interesting one. I thought hubs were made idle if there was no traffic and they were basically dormant. Now I'm totally confused. I'll be watching this question for respondes for sure.
They're not made idle due to NO traffic, they are made idle due to LOW traffic (amongst other factors) - which is why many of us aren't happy. Even a small amount of traffic is worth having.
The only thing I can think of (If WorkAtHomeMums answer doesn't apply) is redirection from a non-idle hub. For instance if they Googled "Red Socks", came to a hub titled "Red Socks" which linked to your idle hub "Red Hats", I believe that would be counted as a redirection from Google.

If a hub is not featured does that mean that it doesn't get any search engine traffic from Google or other search engines?

This might be a complete co-incidence, but I switched to the new profile a couple of days ago, and today Google is pretending it doesn't know me. Hubs that ranked on the first page for main keyword are not found...

How is it that a hub on the 'common mistakes new hubbers make' can suddenly become not featured, in spite of the fact it has had 9 views in a day, 24 views in 7 days and 35 views in the last 30 days? I only replied to...
