What first got you into writing on hubpages?
Where did you first hear about Hubpages? What made you decide to try it out then stick around?
I was looking for work online as a new stay-at-home mom. I came across HP which said I could earn from writing, without already having a writing portfolio or a gimmick. It was perfect for me. The earnings took a while to accumulate, but I'm glad I stayed.
A friend did some writing here and shared with a group of us on another site. I came to Hubpages and read her work then started looking around. And signed up. I love the idea of having a place to publish my work. It sure isn't about the money--been here 2 years, no money yet. LOL
my brother was and still is a member of hubpages and he told me about it. At the time I was just finishing up a writing course with the Institute for Children's Literature and jumped right into hubpages. I don't think I'll ever leave!! lol
My dad brought the idea up to me. I started out about 2 weeks after he introduced me too it and I didn't publish anything until 2 weeks later. Never got into it all that much the first few weeks. My loyalty to writing comes and goes as I become busy and not as busy. However, I travel a lot and go on some pretty interesting adventures (in my opinion). It is a great way to share stories, but an even better way to keep a modern journal. No longer will I have to write in my journal with a pad and paper, however, I am sure I will.

Okay, this forum is for the newbies out there who seem to dim their light for Hubpages. After 1 year and one month. I got paid on Hubpages and it is very fulfilling. Don't over react my friend for I accumulated my earnings for 5 months since my adsense account got approved after 8 months of stay...

I'm so close to a payout, finally - after almost 2 years. I realize I haven't had one sooner becuz I haven't done all of the things that earn us money here on HP. I started out not caring if I made money, I was writing for fun. But now that I'm so close I find myself checking in...

I just read a Hub that said that the author was going to go to the freelance website and pay people to write articles for him that he would put on HubPages to make himself money from. That can't be okay with the HubPages site, is it? A couple of people commented, including an author that I have...

First reason:Any article is handicapped by moderators if it doesn't please them. Your article won't appear in search engines purely because it is not featured.Second reason:You cannot publish your articles elsewhere! Your articles are not even visible in search engines and yet HubPages use...

This has got to be some sort of joke. This site is not an easy place to make a fast buck. I knew that when I started. I then did the apprenticeship. It hasn't done me one iota of good. I have written well over 70 hubs, some of which were HOTD. My earnings in the last week are [redacted] ...
