I think it is all private now. So many complained (myself included) about the previous system. A question would be asked, and people would answer the question and it would still get voted down. It was really hard to come here and answer a question seriously and get voted down for no apparent reason....so I think that may be why it changed.
Yeah, it would be nice to know, but there's no way to know apparently.
You used to be able to tell in the old system, but people abused it because they couldn't follow rules and would vote down answers they simply disagreed with, rather than using it as intended - to eliminate answers that didn't contribute to the conversation. Apparently many people think anything that disagrees with their opinion doesn't add to a conversation. It was being abused and I am assuming there were complaints about it and so now there is a new system. As is typical, people who can't play nice and follow the rules will tend to ruin things for others.

I was just wondering, if you read a well written hub but it was something controversial that had a different opinion than you had, would you rate it thumbs down because of that or would you rate it on the hub itself (...

Often, we'll be reading Hubs to find a specific answer or solution to something in our lives. And often, we'll get to the end and be "too busy" to rate it. This is understandable; I do it...

Is it possible for Hubtivity to show who gave a hub a thumbs up. This question came up in my hub "Why I Don't Always Comment, Even When I Loved Your Hub". JamaGenee made the comment, and I agree...

For ages, older site members have stated thumbs up/down on hubs does nothing; it does not even change hubscore. In that case why do we have it? Does it do anything?
